Mental Health Accredited Social Worker


Lisa is a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in various settings, including Mental Health NGOs, Community Mental Health, hospitals, and private practice. With 12 years as an accredited Mental Health Social Worker, she has also supervised professionals and mentored students, offering interdisciplinary consultation and field instruction.


Lisa’s approach is eclectic, using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) as her primary model, alongside Schema Therapy, CBT, psychoeducation, and mindfulness techniques. She believes in the Recovery Model, empowering clients to develop skills, personal values, and a fulfilling life. Lisa works with a range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, BPD, emotion regulation, and suicidal ideation.


Lisa is also experienced in couples counselling, focusing on improving communication and reducing conflict using the DBT model. She creates a safe, empathetic space where clients feel heard and supported, promoting meaningful change. Lisa works primarily with adults aged 20 and older.
